What is MediShield Life?

MediShield Life is a basic health insurance plan, administered by the CPF Board, which helps to pay for large hospital bills and selected costly outpatient treatments.

Universal Coverage: It covers all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents, including the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions, for life.

Fully Payable by MediSave: You do not need to pay for MediShield Life with cash; the premiums are deducted automatically from your MediSave account every year.

No Claim Bonus= Some private IP plans offer bonuses, but the core MediShield Life is a standard rate.

A 35-year-old pays roughly S$390/year. By age 65, the premium increases to S$1,200/year as the risk of hospitalization rises.
